LAUDERDALE COUNTY, MS – The National Weather Service (NWS) in Jackson has issued a Tropical Storm Warning for Lauderdale County, effective immediately. Residents must complete all preparations before hazardous wind conditions begin. This warning was issued on October 9 at 3:56 PM CDT and expires on October 10 at 12:00 AM UTC.
Wind gusts up to 45 mph are anticipated, with sustained winds of 15-25 mph. This could lead to limited damage, including unsecured objects blowing around, broken tree limbs, and scattered power outages. Efforts to protect property should be underway now.
