Sarasota Memorial Hospital opened the Milman-Kover Cancer Pavilion on its flagship campus, a seven-story facility housing outpatient oncology services, surgical suites, radiation therapy, genetic testing, and advanced imaging.
The 200,000-square-foot pavilion expands the Brian D. Jellison Cancer Institute. A skybridge connects it to the existing Oncology Tower. Physicians from First Physicians Group and Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute staff the facility, which includes the Donna & Jon Boscia Breast Health Center and the Irwin L. Srob & George P. Salley Infusion Center.
Susan Milman's lead gift funded the pavilion, which honors her family's commitment to accessible cancer care. The Brian and Sheila Jellison Family Foundation provided the initial gift for the broader cancer institute.
"Patients and families facing cancer now have access to exceptional care and advanced treatment options close to home," said Kevin Cooper, chair of the Sarasota County Public Hospital Board.
