Levesque served in the United States Navy and retired as Assistant Police Chief for the Alexandria Police Department in Virginia. He had a legacy of dedicated service to his community and family. He also spent time in Manatee County.
Born Nov. 18, 1940, in Auburn, Maine, Levesque had a purposeful life and a generous spirit. He was known for his warm smile and friendly demeanor, making others feel respected. His law enforcement career spanned three decades, during which he served with integrity and a commitment to public safety. This commitment continued after he settled in the Bradenton area.
The Alexandria Police Department selected Levesque for a 10-week leadership program at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia. This recognized his commitment to excellence and the respect he earned through hard work and discipline.
A devoted Catholic, Levesque's faith was central to his life. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Marie Levesque. He is survived by his sister Cheryl Robbie; daughters Michele Fenter and Nannette Levesque; three grandchildren, Tiffani, Emily, and Austin; and four great-grandchildren, Annabelle, Abigail, James, and Mikaela.
