Maitland Police Earns Highest State Accreditation

The Maitland Police Department achieved Tier 1 Accreditation from the Florida Police Chiefs Association, the state program's highest recognition level.

The accreditation confirms the department meets rigorous professional standards in policies, procedures, and operations. A team of law enforcement professionals conducted the assessment.

"This achievement reflects the hard work, professionalism, and dedication of every member of our department," Chief David Moore said. "It validates our commitment to serving Maitland residents with integrity and excellence."

The accreditation process required the department to document compliance with state standards for officer conduct and operational effectiveness. The review examined how officers perform their duties and how the department manages resources. Tier 1 status places Maitland among agencies demonstrating best practices in law enforcement.
