Maitland residents can celebrate fall with the city's annual Falloween event on Saturday, Oct. 24. The family-friendly gathering runs from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at 1776 Independence Lane, adjacent to City Hall.

This year's Falloween offers carnival games, bounce houses and a kids' corn maze. A DJ will play music and host games in the park. Train rides will provide a scenic tour of the festivities, possibly looping past the historic Maitland Depot. Several photo spots will be available for children in costume; a link for social media submissions will be provided at the event.

The pet costume contest begins at 7:30 p.m. in front of the event stage. Admission to Falloween and carnival games is free. Train rides and balloon artists will have a small fee.

Local dining options near the park include Houndstooth Kitchen & Eatery, Brewlando Brewing, Boku Sushi, Parea Greek Taverna and Kelly's Homemade Ice Cream.

Parking is available south of the park on Packwood Avenue and north on Horatio Avenue.
