Georgetown Police Issue Safety Guidelines for Annual Senior Assassin Game
The Georgetown Police Department is aware that this time of year is when many students participate in the annual senior game known as “senior assassin.” The game involves students using water guns to get out a “target.” Neither the Georgetown Police Department nor Georgetown Public Schools endorses this game. Students are not encouraged to participate. Any behavior that violates the law may result in criminal charges and/ or school disciplinary consequences. If students choose to participate, we urge them to abide by the following safety tips: Water guns can be mistaken for real weapons and should be in bright color. Do NOT play while driving or near any roadways. Avoid playing at nighttime. When it is dark out, it is harder to see who and what you are doing, which could lead to injuries. Avoid suspicious behaviors. Respect private property and businesses Do NOT enter yards, homes, or businesses without permission. Residents and students are reminded to be respectful and responsible while participating.
