Residents in Northern Park, Judith Gap, Livingston Area, Beartooth Foothills, Northern Sweet Grass, and Southern Wheatland areas should prepare for winter weather conditions. A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service in Billings, MT, effective from midnight tonight, October 10, until noon MDT on Monday, October 12.

Periods of wet snow and blowing snow are expected, with total snow accumulations between 2 and 6 inches. Wind gusts could reach as high as 40 mph.

Travel is expected to be difficult due to slushy or snowy roads and poor visibility. This includes US-191 from Big Timber to Judith Gap, I-90 from Big Timber to Livingston, and over Bozeman Pass. Tree and power line damage, leading to potential power outages, is also possible.

Drivers are advised to slow down and use caution. For the latest road conditions, call 511. Pedestrians should watch their first steps on stairs, sidewalks, and driveways, as these surfaces may be icy and slippery.
