Residents in the East Glacier Park Region, Northern High Plains, Southern Rocky Mountain Front, Southern High Plains, Upper Blackfoot and MacDonald Pass, and Gates of the Mountains should prepare for continued heavy snow and hazardous travel conditions. The National Weather Service (NWS) in Great Falls, MT, has issued a Winter Storm Warning effective until 6:00 AM MDT this morning, October 12.

Additional snow accumulations of up to one inch are expected across portions of central and north central Montana. The NWS warns that these conditions will lead to slippery road conditions.

If travel is essential, the NWS advises keeping an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle. For the latest road conditions, dial 511. This warning was issued at 2:34 AM MDT and expires at 6:00 AM MDT today.
