At 413 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 4 miles northwest of Hickory, or near Lake Hickory, moving southeast at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include... Hickory, Newton, St. Stephens, Longview, Sawmills, Granite Falls, Icard, Hildebran, Connelly Springs, and Rhodhiss.
