Lee County 2026 Primary Election Deadlines
Lee County's new Supervisor of Elections, appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis, has outlined key deadlines for the 2026 primary election.
Voters must register by July 20 to participate in the primary. Those requesting vote-by-mail ballots have until August 6 to submit requests before Election Day.
The Supervisor, who spent six years in the Florida Legislature representing Fort Myers, supported legislation strengthening election integrity, including HB 991, the "Florida SAVE Act." The law adds transparency to candidate qualification and requires citizenship verification.
A new congressional map signed into law recently redrew the boundary between U.S. House Districts 17 and 19 in Lee County. The Elections office will mail new voter cards to affected residents.
Residents seeking assistance can call 239-533-8683 or email the Supervisor. Updated information is available on the Elections office website and social media channels.
