Residents in Lee, Itawamba, Chickasaw, and Monroe Counties should prepare for strong winds today. A Wind Advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service in Memphis, TN, effective immediately until 8:00 PM CDT this evening, October 10, 2026.

North winds are expected to reach 15 to 25 mph, with gusts up to 50 mph. These conditions can make driving challenging, particularly for high-profile vehicles. The National Weather Service advises using extra caution on the roads.

Impacts of these gusty winds include unsecured outdoor objects being blown around. Tree limbs may be blown down, and isolated power outages are possible. This Wind Advisory replaces a previous Tropical Storm Warning for the area.

To ensure safety, residents are urged to secure any outdoor objects that could be affected by the strong winds.
