Residents in Plymouth and Sioux Counties should seek immediate shelter due to a Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued by the National Weather Service Sioux Falls, SD. The warning is in effect until 8:15 PM CDT tonight, October 8th.

At 7:51 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Struble, approximately 11 miles northwest of Le Mars, moving southeast at 40 mph. The primary hazard associated with this storm is quarter-size hail. The National Weather Service indicates that damage to vehicles is expected.

Impacted areas and estimated arrival times include: Struble, Maurice, Craig, and Ireton around 7:55 PM CDT; Le Mars around 8:05 PM CDT. Other locations impacted include Brunsville.

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. This storm is capable of producing large hail.
