Severe Thunderstorm Warning: Plymouth & Sioux Counties Until Midnight

Residents in northwestern Plymouth County and southwestern Sioux County, Iowa, are advised to seek shelter immediately. The National Weather Service in Sioux Falls has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning effective until 12:00 AM CDT tonight, October 9.
At 11:25 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located six miles south of Hawarden, moving southeast at 25 mph. This storm is capable of producing half-dollar size hail, which is expected to cause damage to vehicles.
Areas expected to be impacted include Craig around 11:50 PM CDT and Struble around 11:55 PM CDT. Chatsworth and Brunsville will also be affected. Residents should move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building and stay away from windows.
