Paola City Council to Hold Public Hearing on Utility Rate Revisions
Notice of Public Hearing Notice is hereby given that the Governing Body of the City of Paola, Kansas will hold a public hearing to consider revisions to Chapter XIII, "Utilities," of the Code of the City of Paola, Kansas, relating to rates charged for utility services. The hearing will be held at 6:30 p.m. on April 15, 2024, in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 19 E. Peoria, Paola, Kansas. All interested parties may attend and be heard. Dated this 27th day of March, 2024.

Notice of Public Hearing Conditional Use Permit Notice is hereby given that the Miami County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on June 6, 2024, at 7:00 PM in the Miami County Commission Meeting Room, Miami County Courthouse, 201 S. Pearl, Paola, Kansas, to consider the following: Conditional Use Permit application from NextEra Energy Resources, LLC for a Commercial Solar Energy Facility, located east of US 169 Highway and north of 327th Street, Paola, Kansas, and legally described as: See Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. Said hearing will be open to the public. All interested parties may attend and be heard. Miami County Planning Commission to Hold Public Hearing on Development Regulations
Notice of Public Hearing The Miami County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at 7:00 PM in the Commission Chambers of the Miami County Courthouse, 201 S. Pearl Street, Paola, Kansas to consider the following proposed amendments to the Unified Development Regulations: Amendments to the Miami County Unified Development Regulations Article 2, Definitions: Amend the definition of “Amusement, Commercial” and “Recreation, Commercial, Outdoor” and add a new definition for “Event Center or Venue”. Article 6, Zoning Regulations Amend the Use Regulations for the “AG” Agricultural District, “RR” Rural Residential District, “R-1” Single-Family Residential District, “R-2” Two-Family Residential District, “R-3” Multi-Family Residential District, “C-1” Neighborhood Commercial District, “C-2” General Commercial District, “I-1” Light Industrial District, and “I-2” Heavy Industrial District. Article 8, Landscaping Amend Section 8.03.030, General Standards, Subsection B., Plant Material Size Requirements. A complete copy of the proposed amendments is available for review in the Miami County Planning and Zoning Office, located in the Miami County Courthouse, 201 S. Pearl Street, Paola, Kansas, and on the County’s website at www.miamicountyks.org. All interested parties are invited to attend the public hearing and comment on the proposed amendments. Written comments may be submitted to the Planning and Zoning Office prior to the public hearing.
