The National Weather Service (NWS) in Cheyenne, WY, issued a Special Weather Statement today, October 10, at 2:02 PM MDT. Doppler radar indicates these showers are tracking northeast at 35 mph, extending from 9 miles south of Chugwater to near Whitaker.
These strong winds could potentially knock down tree limbs and displace unsecured objects. The statement is effective until 2:45 PM MDT today, October 10. Locations specifically impacted include Whitaker, Meriden Rest Area, Gun Barrel, and Hawk Springs. If you are outdoors, consider moving inside a sturdy building until the threat passes.
