Atlantis Utility Bills Go Monthly in October

City of Atlantis residential customers will begin receiving monthly utility bills in October. The change affects water, sewer, and stormwater services for residents within city limits.

Currently, these customers receive bills every two months. The first monthly bill under the new schedule will be sent Oct. 26. City officials said the change aims to provide more frequent and predictable billing, helping customers monitor usage and manage expenses.

Customers enrolled in the Automatic Bank Draft program will have payments adjusted automatically. Other automatic payment users may need to update their schedules.

Residential customers outside the city limits and commercial customers already receive monthly billing. Their bills are sent on the 30th of the month and are due 14 days later.

Accounts not paid by the due date incur a $20 late charge. The city may interrupt service for outstanding accounts.

New water account holders require a deposit, a valid photo ID, and proof of ownership or a lease agreement.
