Wellington America 250 Celebration July 2-4
Wellington will mark the nation's 250th anniversary with three days of free events July 2–4, featuring live music, food vendors, a pool party, and a fireworks display synchronized with celebrations across the country.
The festivities open July 2 at the Wellington Amphitheater (12100 Forest Hill Boulevard) with Thursday Nights in Wellington x America 250 Celebration. Two tribute bands—The Bruce: A Bruce Springsteen Tribute at 6 p.m. and Homegrown: The Zac Brown Band Experience at 7:30 p.m.—will perform. More than 18 food trucks and 35 market vendors will operate. Attendees may bring chairs or blankets.
On July 3, the Wellington Aquatics Center (3410 120th Ave. S) hosts a Patriotic Pool Party from 3 to 8 p.m. Admission costs $2.50 per person. The event includes DJ music, games, a cannonball contest, and NinjaCross timed races. Each guest receives a complimentary food ticket for a hot dog or hamburger, chips, and a drink. Entry is first-come, first-served.
The celebration concludes July 4 at Village Park (11700 Pierson Road) with Wellington's Annual Independence Day Celebration. Gates open at 6 p.m. for live music, games, food vendors, and interactive attractions. Two tribute performances—Only in America: Brooks & Dunn Tribute and Tribute to the Troops: A Heartfelt Musical Celebration—will perform. Fireworks launch at 9:15 p.m. Free shuttle service departs The Mall at Wellington Green starting at 5:30 p.m.
