Barbara Frederiksen, 77, of Delray Beach Passes Away

Barbara Elizabeth Frederiksen, a longtime resident, died Sept. 7, 2026, in Delray Beach, Florida. She was 77.

Born April 14, 1949, in Alton, Illinois, Frederiksen moved to Ferguson, Missouri, in 1960. She graduated from McCluer High School in 1967. In Ferguson, she met Neal Frederiksen at First Presbyterian Church. They married Oct. 2, 2004, and moved to Florida. Neal Frederiksen died in January 2021.

Frederiksen was the mother of Ethera Elizabeth Andrews, born in 1973. Andrews died May 13, 2016. Frederiksen found joy in her three grandsons, Zachary, Jacob and Nicholas Zarosa, Andrews' sons.

She enjoyed gardening, bird watching and thrifting with her older sister, Joan Kaczmarek. Frederiksen also is survived by her sister's husband, Ron Kaczmarek; her nephew, Jason Bradt; her niece, Jennifer Palermo (Joe); and many great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.

A private family service will be held.
