A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for Troup County, including La Grange, effective immediately, October 9, 2026, at 11:16 AM EDT. The National Weather Service (NWS) Peachtree City GA forecasts tropical storm-force winds within the next 36 hours. This warning expires October 9, 2026, at 7:30 PM UTC.

Residents should prepare for peak winds of 10-20 mph with gusts up to 45 mph, potentially causing limited damage to property, trees, and leading to scattered power outages. Efforts to protect property should be underway now. Complete all preparations before winds become hazardous.
