Man in Critical Condition After Liberty City Shooting; Suspect Sought by Police

A man in his 40s remains in critical condition today after a shooting in Liberty City on Sunday evening. Miami Police are actively searching for a suspect in connection with the incident, which occurred near Northwest 15th Avenue and 68th Street.

The shooting prompted a rapid response from Miami Police officers after a ShotSpotter alert registered around 5:06 p.m. on Sunday. Upon arrival, officers located the victim with gunshot wounds. Miami Fire Rescue transported the injured man to a local hospital, where he was admitted in critical condition.

Investigators spent Sunday evening meticulously documenting the crime scene. Dozens of yellow evidence markers dotted the ground, indicating numerous points of interest for forensic analysis. Officers also photographed several vehicles in the area, including one that appeared to have crashed into a police car and another that sustained bullet damage.

Police confirmed they are searching for a suspect, but have not yet released additional information about the individual involved.
