The city of Maitland will close the intersection of Mohican Trail and Deloraine Trail beginning Monday, October 19, at 7 a.m. for a four-week reconstruction project.
Work will include narrowing the intersection to improve visibility at stop signs, building new sidewalks on Deloraine Trail, adding three crosswalks, installing stormwater drainage, and resurfacing Mohican Trail between Parliament Trail and Deloraine Trail. The city plans a future sidewalk on the north side of Mohican Trail to connect to an existing sidewalk at Thistle Trail.
Traffic will be rerouted via Thunderbird Trail, Geronimo Trail, and Deloraine Trail. Drivers should allow extra time and follow temporary traffic signs.
