The Moore's lent their home to General George Washington for General Peter Muhlenberg's Winter Headquarters during the 1777-1778 Winter Encampment in Valley Forge PA. The property and home was then mentioned in George Washington's diary as he chose to leave the Continental Convention in Philadelphia July 30th - August 1st 1787 in order to stay at
