1st Air Cav, kids celebrate freedom DVIDS318593
Students from Trimmier Elementary School and soldiers from 4th Attack Reconnaissance Battalion, 227th Aviation Regiment, 1st Air Cavalry Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, cheer and shout patriotic slogans during the school’s annual Freedom Walk. The walk is in remembrance and conjunction with the events of 9/11.

Lt. Col. William Rockefeller III, commander, 2nd Battalion, 12th Cavalry Regiment “Thunder Horse,” 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, shares his gratitude and bids farewell to members of Lord Strathcona’s Horse of the Canadian Army during a leader round-up March 12 in Killeen, Texas. During the two-week training, both units operated the M2 Bradley Fighting Vehicle and M1 Abrams Tank simulators. The simulation included movement to contact and wide-area security missions.
