Wrangell Power Switching to Diesel Due to Hydro Outage
Wrangell Municipal Light & Power (WMLP) will be going to diesel generation starting this afternoon, December 5, 2023. This is due to an unforeseen outage at the upstream hydroelectric facility. WMLP is working to restore hydroelectric generation as soon as possible. Further updates will be provided as they become available.
