A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for the West Glacier Region, effective from 6 PM MDT this evening until 6 AM MDT Monday, October 12th. The National Weather Service in Missoula, MT, warns of expected snow and gusty winds, which will create slippery road conditions.
Residents in Essex, Polebridge, Bad Rock Canyon, Glacier National Park, the Highway 83 corridor from Bigfork to Swan Lake, and Marias Pass should prepare for total snow accumulations between 1 and 3 inches. Higher amounts are anticipated above valley floors and within Glacier National Park. Winds are expected to gust as high as 45 mph.
