Jackson County Courthouse holiday closure schedule for 2024 announced

The Jackson County Courthouse will observe a series of closures throughout 2024 to allow staff to recognize various federal and local holidays. Residents planning to visit the courthouse should note these dates to avoid disruption to their business.

Closures will begin with Martin Luther King, Jr. Day in January and continue through Presidents' Day in February. Memorial Day and Juneteenth will also be observed in May and June, respectively. Independence Day in July and Labor Day in September are also scheduled closure dates.

Further closures include Columbus Day in October, and Veterans Day in November. The courthouse will close for Thanksgiving Day and the following day. In December, closures will be observed for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, followed by New Year's Day in early 2025.
