Drivers in Haakon, Northern Jackson, and Southern Jackson counties are advised to exercise extreme caution this morning due to a Dense Fog Advisory issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) Rapid City SD. The advisory is effective immediately, from 5:20 AM MDT, until 9:00 AM MDT today, September 27.

Visibility is significantly reduced to one quarter to one half mile in dense fog, creating hazardous driving conditions. The NWS Rapid City SD urges anyone on the road to slow down, use their headlights, and maintain a safe following distance from other vehicles.

The affected areas include Haakon County, Northern Jackson County, and Southern Jackson County. Motorists traveling through these regions this morning should be prepared for sudden changes in visibility and adjust their driving accordingly to ensure safety.
