At 451 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Blue Springs to near Grain Valley to Lake Lotawana. Movement was east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include... Independence, Lee's Summit, Blue Springs, Grain Valley, Oak Grove, Sugar Creek, Buckner, Lake Lotawana, Lone Jack, Lake Tapawingo, Sibley, Levasy, Lake Lafayette, Napoleon, Bates City, Tarsney Lakes, and Pittsville.

This includes the following highways... Interstate 70 in Missouri between mile markers 14 and 35. Interstate 470 between mile markers 11 and 16.
