Uintah Recreation Announces Exciting Summer Events
The Uintah Recreation District is excited to announce a variety of upcoming special events designed to engage and entertain our community. We encourage all residents to participate and enjoy these opportunities for fun and connection. Please check back often for updates and new additions to our event calendar. Upcoming Events: * **Youth Soccer Camp:** Develop your soccer skills with our experienced coaches. Dates: June 10-12. Time: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Venue: Recreation Fields. * **Community Picnic & Games:** A fun-filled day for the whole family with food, games, and activities. Date: July 4th. Time: 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Venue: Central Park. * **Adult Softball League Registration:** Sign up your team for our popular adult softball league. Registration deadline: June 30th. Venue: Recreation Center.

Auditor
The Auditor’s Office is the accounting office for Iron County—paying county bills, collecting non-tax revenues, preparing payroll, and coordinating the annual county budget. Roads
Iron CountySkip to main content Overview The main responsibilities of the Road Department are maintaining the 968 miles of road in Iron County. As of June 2013, Iron County has 224 miles of paved, 453 miles of gravel, and 291 miles of dirt roads. The Roads Department is also responsible for snow removal during the winter months. Service Requests A Service Request is a way for the general public to submit non-emergency problems or requests for service in their community. Class B & C Road Program The Class B & C road system with a funding program was established by the Utah Legislature in 1937 as a means of providing assistance to counties and incorporated municipalities for the improvement of roads and streets throughout the State. The funds differ from ordinary local revenues inasmuch as they are subject to administrative direction by the State in accordance with legislative provisions. The Utah Department of Transportation (opens in a new tab) is the administrative authority on behalf of the State (Utah Code 72-2-109). The procedures and regulations are designed to function by mutual accord among all agencies concerned. They have the approval and endorsement of both the Utah Association of Counties (opens in a new tab) and the Utah League of Cities and Towns (opens in a new tab). Class B & C Roads: All public highways, roads, or streets that are designated as Class B by the county or Class C by the municipality having jurisdictional authority to do so. Counties and municipalities cannot designate Class B or Class C roads outside of their geographical boundaries, with the exception that Class B roads can exist inside municipal boundaries (Utah Codes 17-50-305, 72-3-103, and 72-3-104).

Natural Resources
Develop and maintain the Iron County Resource Management Plan (CRMP), specific resource plans, and the natural resources section of the Iron County General Plan. Develop monitoring systems for all goals and objectives of the Iron CRMP. Responsible for implementing the Iron CRMP. Monitor, review, and report to the County Board of Commissioners and other necessary county officials regarding federal and state land and natural resource management agency proposals and environmental analyses that impact Iron County or Iron County interests. Submit formal comments to agencies, as warranted, under the direction of the Board of Commissioners and Natural Resource Advisory Council. Serve as a representative for Iron County in formal Cooperating Agency agreements with federal agency projects of interest. Meet all other participation expectations of and requisite reporting to the Board of Commissioners. Build and maintain positive and productive working relationships with state and federal land and natural resource management agencies, personnel, the general public, and advocacy groups interested in natural resource issues in Iron County. Assist other County Departments in planning and implementing recreational plans. Resource Management Plan (CRMP) The Iron County Resource Management Plan (CRMP) was developed to facilitate cooperation and collaboration between the County and federal and state land management agencies in planning for natural resources in Iron County. The plan was developed jointly with land management agencies and stakeholders and serves as the basis for future natural resources planning. Plan Your Visit - Clark Planetarium
Plan Your Visit Open seven days a week and located in downtown Salt Lake City, Clark Planetarium offers an out-of-this-world experience that is a blast for all ages. The Planetarium features over 10,000 square feet of free, hands-on exhibit space, as well as the breathtaking Hansen full-dome and Northrop Grumman IMAX® theatres. Clark Planetarium boasts one of the best science gift shops in Utah. For many visitors, Clark Planetarium is their first trip to space, and we know it won't be their last. Visit our Shows page to buy tickets or to learn about our movies, laser light shows, and Planetarium star shows. Plan your visit to the Planetarium Accessibility Clark Planetarium strives to make our building accessible to all people. Our building accommodates wheelchairs and mobility devices throughout the museum. Staff cannot assist visitors into or out of a wheelchair or mobility aid. Access into the Planetarium is available from the main entry located on 400 W. 100 S., or through the Clark Planetarium parking garage entrance located on Level 0, Row C in the south parking garage. If utilizing the south parking garage, an access lift is located inside Clark Planetarium's double entrance door. The lift is visitor operable, and instructions are posted on the lift, but staff are available to assist with opening the doors and operating the lift, if needed. If assistance is needed, please call 385-468-7827 at the time of your visit or prior to arrival. Sensory Friendly Saturday occurs every Saturday between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. During these hours, the museum lights and sounds are adjusted throughout the free exhibit area as well as the Dome and IMAX® theatres to facilitate a safe, welcoming, and fun environment for visitors with sensory needs. Noise-canceling headphones, sunglasses, weighted blankets, needs charts, magnifying glasses and sensory objects are available upon request, please inquire about these items at the ticketing counter. Service animals are permitted; other animals are not permitted. Admission Admission to our exhibit space is always free. Shows in the Hansen Dome Theatre and Northrop Grumman IMAX® Theatre play throughout the day. Check our schedule for the most up to date show times. Please be aware that late seating is not permitted to Cosmic Light Shows (laser shows) for safety reasons. Association of Science - Technology Centers (ASTC) Passport Program Clark Planetarium is a member of the Association of Science - Technology Centers (ASTC). Free admission is offered to a single film per day in the Hansen Dome Theatre. This offer is good for up to five individuals per membership that participate in the ASTC passport program and meets the following criteria: 1. Science centers and museums must be located beyond 90 miles* of the science center/museum where the visitor is a member. 2. Science centers and museums must be located beyond 90 miles* of the visitor's residence.*This distance is measured "as the crow flies," meaning that it is based on the linear radius, not driving distance. To help determine linear radius distance, use the "Measure Distance" feature on Google Maps. KultureCity Through partnership with KultureCity, Clark Planetarium offers sensory bags and items that are designed to help sensory needs in both adults and children. Museums for All Clark Planetarium is a participant in the Museums for All program. Upon proof of your EBT card, admission to the IMAX® or Dome Theatre are available for $3 each.
