The city held a non-mandatory pre-bid conference on September 23, 2026, to discuss the scope of work and address questions from prospective bidders.
The pre-bid conference took place at the General Services Administration Department conference room, located at 350 SE 6th Avenue in Homestead. During this meeting, city officials discussed all aspects of the project. The city made it clear that no verbal questions would be answered outside of this conference. Bidders submitted written questions at least two days prior to the conference to Lissandra Kmoch, Procurement Specialist II for the City of Homestead, or via email at [email protected].
Immediately following the pre-bid conference, a site inspection occurred at the Lucy Switching Station, located at 16191 SW 328th Street Homestead, FL 33030. This station sits at the NE Corner of SW 162nd Ave and SW 328th St. Bidders who attended the site inspection needed to complete a Site Inspection Indemnity Form or provide proof of worker’s compensation coverage. Those without the required documentation could not attend the inspection.
