Arthur Street Bridge Closed for Repairs Near Rotary Park
Staff Writer
June 13, 2026
The city has closed the Arthur Street pedestrian bridge near Rotary Park after structural engineers identified problems with the foundation and railing system.
A structural engineering firm hired by the city found minor deterioration on the bridge deck spanning North 31st Avenue. The foundation and railing require repairs before the bridge can reopen to pedestrians. Engineers are preparing repair plans, and the city will hire a contractor once the design is finalized.
The bridge is expected to reopen this fall, pending permits and contractor selection. The city will provide updates as the project advances.
