Hollywood Utility Accounts Now Online

HOLLYWOOD, FL – Residents and businesses in Hollywood can now manage their utility accounts online, simplifying the process of opening and closing service with the City of Hollywood Department of Public Utilities.

To open a new utility account, applicants must submit the online Utility Service Application. Before applying, confirm the property receives service from the City of Hollywood Department of Public Utilities by calling Customer Service at 954-921-3938. Applicants need a lease agreement within 90 days of submission or closing documents for purchased property, a government-issued photo ID with a signature, the desired service start date, and an acknowledgment of the required utility deposit.

Closing an account also uses an online application. Customers require their utility account number, a government-issued photo ID, and a forwarding address for the final bill. The requested service termination date must be for the current day or within the next three business days. Service termination requests cannot be backdated.

Final utility charges will calculate up to the requested termination date. The remaining deposit balance will process after the final bill is completed. Customers will receive confirmation once their request is processed.
