Hollywood Historic Preservation Board Seeks Architect, Engineer, and Alternate to Fill Three Key Vacancies

The board has three vacant positions: Architect, Engineer or General Contractor, and Alternate. Hollywood's Historic Preservation Board continues to oversee the city's effort to preserve properties with historical, architectural and archeological merit.

The vacancies matter because the board reviews historic sites and districts and promotes compatible design when owners restore, rehabilitate or replace structures in designated Historic Districts. The city says the board also works to combat urban blight, promote tourism, build civic pride and maintain physical evidence of Hollywood's heritage.

Laura Gomez serves as the board's Architectural Historian or Land/Urban Planner, with a term that expires June 30, 2027. Adina Kaufman holds the professional seat for a registered architect, landscape architect, land/urban planner, historic preservationist or interior designer, with a term ending June 30, 2029.

Dana Gallup represents the Hollywood Historical Society through June 30, 2027. Diana Pittarelli serves as the real estate broker or salesperson representative and secretary through that date. Terrence Cantrell serves as a citizen-at-large through June 30, 2027, while William Treece serves as an alternate through June 30, 2029.

The vacant Architect seat carries a term expiration of June 30, 2029. The vacant Engineer or General Contractor seat carries a June 30, 2027, expiration, and the vacant alternate seat carries a June 30, 2029, expiration. The city's listing does not identify appointees for those positions.
