Hollywood Adopt-A-Street Program: Quarterly Community Cleanups
The City of Hollywood is recruiting residents, businesses, civic groups, and faith organizations to maintain city streets through a new Adopt-A-Street Program.
Participants select a street, complete an application with Public Works, and commit to four cleanups per year for at least two years. The city provides supplies for up to 15 volunteers, including trash bags, gloves, safety vests, and pickers. Groups that complete two cleanups receive a recognition sign.
Each group must designate a Safety Supervisor age 21 or older. Cleanups occur during daylight hours, ideally between 8 a.m. and noon. Children under 12 may not participate; teens require adult supervision.
Participants notify Public Works 10 business days before each event and submit completion forms within 24 hours. Streets left unmaintained for six months become available for other adopters.
Residents interested in adopting a street can contact Public Works at 954-967-4526 or email [email protected] to confirm street availability and request an application.
