Drivers are urged to exercise extreme caution this morning due to a Dense Fog Advisory issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) San Francisco CA. The advisory is in effect until 9:00 AM PDT today, October 7, 2026.

Visibility is reported at 1/4 mile or less in dense fog across affected areas. This includes San Francisco, the Coastal North Bay (including Point Reyes National Seashore), the San Francisco Peninsula Coast, Northern Monterey Bay, Southern Monterey Bay, and the Northern Salinas Valley/Hollister Valley and Carmel Valley.

Low visibility can create hazardous driving conditions. The NWS advises drivers to slow down, use low-beam headlights, and maintain ample distance from other vehicles. Commuters should allow extra time to reach their destinations safely.
