
Walmart Recalls Millions of Grill Brushes Due to Hazard
Walmart is recalling 4.4 million grill brushes due to a hazard where metal bristles can detach and cause internal injuries if ingested. Consumers should stop using the brushes and contact Walmart for a refund or credit.

Walmart has recalled approximately 4.4 million grill brushes after discovering that metal bristles can detach and become lodged in food or on grill surfaces. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) warned that ingesting these bristles could cause serious internal injuries requiring surgery.
The recall affects Walmart Expert Grill brushes with black plastic or stainless-steel handles. Some recalled models feature an attached scraper. These brushes were sold nationwide between January 2021 and August 2026 for $1 to $28.
Specific models included in the recall are: Expert Grill 16-inch Steel Fiber Scrub Brush and Scraper for Grills (model EX5607031616002), Expert Grill Handheld Steel Fiber Scrub Brush with Ergonomic Handle for Grill Cleaning (model EX5607031616003), Expert Grill 21” 3-head Grill Brush with Stainless Steel Bristles and Soft-Grip Handle (model XG1310700206), Expert Grill Long Handle Grill Brush with Scraper, 17.7” (model XG1136178597003), and Expert Grill Grilling Accessories BBQ Grill Tools Set, 10 Pieces Stainless Steel Grill Kit (model XG1410700124).
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Expert Grill brushes. Walmart will provide instructions on whether to return or discard the brushes and will offer a refund or credit. Customers can contact Walmart at 800-925-6278 or visit the company's website for more information.
