A Wind Advisory is in effect from midnight tonight until Sunday morning for multiple counties in Northeast Georgia, Upstate South Carolina, and Western North Carolina, with gusts up to 46 mph expected.

Residents in Rabun, Habersham, Stephens, Franklin, Hart, Elbert, Anderson, Abbeville, Greenwood, and sections of Oconee, Pickens, and Greenville counties are advised to secure outdoor objects and exercise caution due to a Wind Advisory. The National Weather Service (NWS) Greenville-Spartanburg SC has issued this advisory, effective from midnight tonight until 8:00 AM EDT Sunday.

East winds are expected to reach 10 to 20 mph, with gusts potentially as high as 46 mph. This advisory also covers Avery and Henderson Counties in North Carolina, as well as the mountain portions of Polk, Rutherford, McDowell, Burke, and Caldwell Counties.

Gusty winds may dislodge unsecured items, including portable tents. Tree limbs could be blown down, and isolated power outages are possible. The NWS advises that winds of this strength can make driving challenging, particularly for high-profile vehicles. Drivers should use extra caution.
