MassDOT highway signs are doing double duty in several Connecticut River Valley locations- directing traffic and providing a home for small falcons. Representatives from Mass Fisheries & Wildlife and MassDOT previously worked together on Peregrine Falcon nesting boxes, and now introduced the idea of using nesting boxes for the American Kestrel (Falco sparverius), the smallest falcon in North America.
