
New Orleans Man Sentenced to 137 Months for Drugs, Gun
Romalis Williams, 33, of New Orleans has been sentenced to 137 months in federal prison after a jury found him guilty of drug and firearm charges.

Romalis Williams, 33, of New Orleans received a 137-month federal prison sentence on Oct. 1, 2026. United States District Judge Brandon S. Long handed down the sentence.
A jury found Williams guilty of possession with intent to distribute controlled substances and being a felon in possession of firearms. The charges stemmed from violations of federal law: Title 21, United States Code, Sections 841(a)(1) and (b)(1)(C) for drug offenses, and Title 18, United States Code, Sections 922(g)(1) and 924(a)(8) for the firearm charge.
U.S. Attorney David I. Courcelle announced the sentencing. The jury's verdict followed a trial where evidence presented led to the conviction on both counts.
