Message from Your Principal
Dear Students and Families,
Dear Students and Families, Welcome to Port St. Joe Elementary School. It is indeed a tremendous honor and privilege to serve as your principal for the 2024-25 school year. We are pleased that you have visited our website, and if you need additional information, do not hesitate to contact us. Thank you for sharing your children; they are truly a gift to us. Your child’s elementary school years are a special time in his or her life. During this time, children undergo important developmental changes. It is also a time when children become more autonomous, and they transition from “learning to read” to “reading to learn.” I believe that parents are the first teachers of their children, and they play a central role in their children’s education. I invite you to participate in open, honest, and continuous communication with your child’s teachers to ensure a successful home-school partnership. I encourage you to tell our teachers about your child’s needs throughout the year so that he or she has “the best” educational experience. Our staff takes great pride in providing a safe, secure learning environment and is committed to providing our students with opportunities that allow them to flourish and grow academically. Our school believes that achieving success academically and in life is not built solely around one’s IQ; rather, success is a combination of hard work, being accountable, and caring about others. As principal, it is important for me that my staff, parents, and students become partners in this journey that we have embarked upon. All of us must come to school every day happy and ready to give it our best. A positive attitude will enable us to become problem solvers in a fun, nurturing environment. Thank you in advance for supporting your child’s success at school in the classroom and through our parent organizations. Let us all commit to making a greater effort towards communicating with each other. If I can ever be of assistance, please contact me. Respectfully, Jessica Brock Principal
