Several Horry County offices relocating to Central Coast Complex - Horry County SC.Gov Exterior of Central Coast Complex scheduled to open at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 5 Map showing location of new Central Coast Complex on Hinson Drive in Carolina Forest area Several Horry County offices relocating to Central Coast Complex Back General Posted On: 9/30/2026 3:17:18 PM Updated On: 9/30/2026 3:19:12 PM 2 Exterior of Central Coast Complex scheduled to open at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 5 On Friday, October 2, 2026 Horry County offices located at the Olin Blanton Building on 21st Avenue in Myrtle Beach will be closed as departments relocate to the new Central Coast Complex located on Hinson Drive in the Carolina Forest area. This includes the Horry County Treasurer’s Office, Horry County Assessor’s Office, and Horry County Auditor’s Office. The South Carolina Department of Social Services and Magistrate Offices will remain open at that location on Friday. The Horry County Clerk of Court satellite office located at the Horry County South Strand Complex off Scipio Lane is now closed and will be located at the Central Coast Complex starting Monday, October 5, 2026. All relocated offices will open on Monday, October 5, 2026 at the Central Coast Complex at 10 a.m. The Horry County Police Department Fifth Precinct is currently open at the complex. Here is the address of the new facility (map shown as well): Central Coast Complex 332 Hinson Drive Myrtle Beach, SC 29579 While moving, these departments’ other locations remain open and on their normal schedules. The public can also do business with the county by phone or online. Thank you for understanding and we look forward to serving you from our new location.

Unknown County Offices Closed for Columbus Day
Please be advised that all Unknown County offices, including the courthouse, administrative offices, and the public library, will be closed on Monday, October 9, 2023, in observance of Columbus Day. Normal business hours will resume on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at 8:30 AM. Emergency services will remain operational.
Unknown County Commissioners to Meet Twice Monthly; Public Invited
The Unknown County Board of County Commissioners meets on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 6:00 PM in the County Administration Building, located at 123 Main Street, Unknownville, SC. Agendas for upcoming meetings are typically posted the Friday before the meeting. Minutes from past meetings are also available for review.

You have until Sunday, Oct. 4 to register online, here. The Early Voting period runs from Monday, Oct. 19 to Saturday, Oct. 31. Early voting centers will open from 8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday. All centers will be closed on Sunday, Oct. 25. Horry County's new Central Coast Complex is open to serve
Horry County’s Central Coast Complex is now open in Carolina Forest, bringing a wide range of County services closer to home for many. Residents can visit the new location to access the Assessor, Auditor and Treasurer offices, making it easier to take care of County business without traveling across the county. The complex also includes a satellite Clerk of Court office, Magistrate courtrooms and Probate Court offices. The facility is also the new, permanent home of the Horry County Police Department’s Fifth Precinct. Located at 332 Hinson Drive in Myrtle Beach, the Central Coast Complex is open to residents Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. We ask for patience as systems and processes are brought online at the facility and apologize for any inconveniences as we work through the first few days of operations. A ceremonial ribbon cutting is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 16, marking the official celebration of this new resource for the community. We look forward to welcoming residents and providing convenience access to county services.
