CAIRO, GA – October 9, 2026 – The National Weather Service (NWS) Tallahassee has issued a Tropical Storm Warning for Grady County, specifically impacting Cairo, effective immediately. Residents must finalize preparations now as severe weather is imminent.
The NWS forecasts wind speeds of 10-20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph, with a potential for sustained winds of 39 to 57 mph. Damage to outdoor structures, large tree limbs, and some fences is possible.
