The City of Clewiston is seeking residents to fill a vacant seat on the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) Advisory Board. This position offers an opportunity for citizens to contribute to the city's revitalization efforts in areas including the historic downtown and west side neighborhoods.
The CRA Advisory Board guides projects and decisions promoting redevelopment and community enhancement. Board members share ideas and help shape Clewiston's future growth. The board meets at 3 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month.
The Community Redevelopment Agency operates under Florida Statutes, Chapter 163, Part III, to address blight and enhance the local tax base within designated districts. The Clewiston CRA focuses on redevelopment, conservation, and rehabilitation within its defined area, as outlined in Appendix A of the city's Redevelopment Plan.
