Schedule a Redelivery If we missed you when we tried to deliver your mail, you can schedule a Redelivery online using a tracking number or the barcode number shown on the back of your PS Form 3849, We ReDeliver for You! Redeliveries can be scheduled online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. For same-day Redelivery, make sure your request is submitted by 2 AM CST Monday-Saturday or your Redelivery will be scheduled for the next day. Check to determine if Redelivery is available for your address. Step 1: Check if Redelivery is available for your address. Please provide your contact information including first name, last name, street address, city, state, ZIP code, phone, and email. The address must match the original delivery address. Step 2: Select packages for Redelivery. Enter a tracking or barcode number shown on the back of your PS Form 3849, We ReDeliver for You! All packages in a single Redelivery request must be associated to the same PS Form 3849. Tracking numbers are for individual packages while barcode numbers can have multiple tracking numbers associated with them. Both types are between 13 and 34 characters. Redelivery Options: - USPS Smart Parcel Locker: If marked eligible on PS Form 3849, packages can be delivered to a USPS Smart Parcel Locker with 24/7 access using a one-time pickup code. - USPS Carrier Redelivery: Fill out the back of PS Form 3849 to let your carrier know when and where to leave the package. - Customer Pickup: Go to the Post Office location on PS Form 3849 to pick up the package or send a representative. - Return to Sender by USPS: Request return of package to shipper with "Return to Sender" endorsement. Step 3: Confirm selections for Redelivery. Review and confirm your redelivery selections. Accept the Terms and Conditions to proceed. Step 4: Sign up for Informed Delivery. Optionally sign up for Informed Delivery notifications, a free feature allowing tracking of redelivery requests, mail preview, and more. Mail and packages will populate within 2 to 5 business days. You can buy or cash postal money orders at any Post Office location. How to Send Domestic Money Orders Decide on the money order amount. You can send up to $1,000 in a single order anywhere in the United States. Go to any Post Office location. Take cash or a debit card. You cannot pay with a credit card. Fill out the money order at the counter with a retail associate. Pay the dollar value of the money order plus the issuing fee. Keep your receipt to track the money order. Money Order Fees Fees are based on the money order dollar amount: - $0.01 to $500.00: $2.55 - $500.01 to $1,000.00: $3.60 - Postal Military Money Orders (issued by military facilities): $0.84 Receiving Postal Money Orders – How to Spot a Fake Before you accept a money order, make sure it's real. Check the dollar amount: Domestic money orders can't be more than $1,000. The words and numbers for the amount should match. Discoloration or paper fiber disturbance around the dollar amounts may show the amounts were changed. If you can easily see watermarks without holding them up to the light, it may mean fraud. If you think you've been given a fake money order: Verify the money order online by scanning the QR code, visiting tools.usps.com/money-orders.htm, or calling the Money Order Verification System at 1-866-459-7822.
