Beach Hazards Statement for Coastal Georgetown Canceled

The Beach Hazards Statement for Coastal Georgetown has been canceled by the NWS, effective immediately, as water levels have receded below minor coastal flooding thresholds.

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC – October 7, 2026 – The Beach Hazards Statement previously issued for Coastal Georgetown has been canceled by the National Weather Service (NWS) Wilmington NC. The cancellation was announced at 7:39 PM EDT and is effective immediately.

According to the NWS, water levels have receded below minor coastal flooding thresholds. Consequently, the Coastal Flood Advisory that was in effect has also been canceled.

Residents and visitors in Coastal Georgetown are advised that conditions are returning to normal. No further action is required in response to this particular alert.
