Drivers in San Juan County, Island County, the Lowlands of Western Skagit and Northwestern Snohomish Counties, and the Downtown Everett/Marysville Area are advised to slow down, use their headlights, and leave extra distance due to a Dense Fog Advisory issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) Seattle WA. The advisory is effective immediately, October 5, 2026, at 5:07 AM PDT, and will remain in effect until 12:00 PM PDT today.

Visibility in affected areas is reported to be one-half mile or less due to dense fog. These conditions could make driving hazardous. The NWS emphasizes the importance of caution while operating a vehicle during this period of reduced visibility.
