Residents and visitors in the West Side Mountains north of Highway 198, including the San Luis Reservoir, should prepare for strong west winds. Wind speeds of 20 to 30 mph are expected, with gusts potentially reaching up to 40 mph. These conditions will create rough waves on area lakes, posing hazardous conditions for small craft.
