Fox River Grove Castle
The "Fox River Grove Castle" is located near the Union Pacific railroad racks and US 14 in Fox River Grove, Illinois. Built by an engineer homesick for Luxemburg. Not a National Registered Historical Site. In McHenry County. Also called Bettendorf Castle. Theodore Bettendorf, who played in the original Vianden Castle in Luxembourg as a child, started building the castle in 1931, remained a bachelor and built for over 30 years.
