We help clients find the most appropriate programs and services for their needs. Rural Health Transformation The Commonwealth of Kentucky will receive funding through the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Rural Health Transformation Fund. Kentucky will use the $212.9 million award over five years to help address the unique health challenges in rural parts of the state. You can learn more about the plan on the state's Rural Health Transformation website. Community Health for Improved Lives and Development (CHILD Waiver) The Department for Medicaid Services (DMS) is implementing a new 1915(c) Home and Community Based Services waiver. The Community Health for Improved Lives and Development, or CHILD, waiver aims to keep individuals age 21 and younger with complex, multi-system needs safe, healthy, and as independent as possible within their communities and families. Additional information is available on the DMS Division of Long-Term Services and Supports website. Anthem Managed Care Update Anthem Kentucky Managed Care Plan, Inc. is no longer a Kentucky Medicaid managed care organization, effective Jan. 1, 2025. The Kentucky Medicaid Anthem MCO Transition webpage includes additional information for affected members. Relative Content Changes Coming to Kentucky Medicaid in 2027 A federal law passed in 2025 is changing the rules for who can get Medicaid, and what a person must do to be enrolled. The changes include requiring people to work, volunteer, or go to school to stay covered, and shorter time between renewals. If you are age 19 to 64, these changes may affect you beginning January 1, 2027. Check out the Medicaid Changes website so you know what's coming and make sure you stay covered. Get Help Accessing Care If you are a Medicaid member and are having trouble getting the care you need, report it to Kentucky Medicaid using the Access to Care form so we can help! Access to Care Form Medicaid Open Records Request To request public records, please use the Team Kentucky Open Records Center. You can submit questions about the open records process to DMS at [email protected]. Open records are defined in Chapter 61 of the Kentucky Revised Statutes. If the records requested are in the custody of and maintained by another agency, a request must be submitted to that agency. 2027 Project Manager's Boot Camp Xpress Training – SAVE THE DATE!
NOTICE: 2027 Project Manager's Boot Camp Xpress Training – SAVE THE DATE! The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet's (KYTC) mission is “to provide a safe, efficient, environmentally sound and fiscally responsible transportation system that delivers economic opportunity and enhances the quality of life in Kentucky." To support successful project delivery, KYTC partners with the Kentucky Transportation Center to offer Project Manager's Boot Camp Xpress (Xpress) training. The Cabinet requires all consultant project managers intending to undertake project management duties on project-specific contracts on behalf of the Cabinet to have completed Xpress or be enrolled/waitlisted for the next offering. The next Xpress training is scheduled for March 24–25, 2027, at the Transportation Cabinet Office Building in Frankfort. Training will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day. Registration is expected to open in January 2027. Individuals currently on the Xpress waitlist will receive the registration announcement directly and will be given the first opportunity to register. After the priority registration period for those on the waitlist, registration will open to the broader consultant community. If you would like to be added to the Xpress waitlist, please contact Jeff Jasper at [email protected]. To date, 495 participants have completed Xpress. Feedback on the course has been consistently positive, and Xpress continues to receive strong support from Cabinet leadership and the consultant community. We look forward to seeing you at Xpress!

Student Internship Program Cabinet for Health and Family Services Student Internship Program CHFS-Overview The goal of the Student Internship Program (SIP) is to enhance the future of the public health workforce through education, training and hands-on experiences. The SIP has two areas of concentration: Programs and Services Main Content Student Internship Placements The Student Internship Program has established internship opportunities across the Kentucky Department for Public Health's seven Divisions and Commissioner's Office. Opportunities are available for both graduate and undergraduate students. Click the Practicum Placement link below to view application instructions and current position availability. The Kentucky Department for Public Health's (KDPH) Student Internship Program (SIP) has partnered with the Kentucky Community and Technical College System, the Kentucky Health Departments Association and Local Health Departments (LHDs) to offer paid internship opportunities for two-year degree-seeking students.
