Fort Myers Fire Department Marks 122 Years Serving 102,000 Residents

The Fort Myers Fire Department responds to fires, rescues, and medical emergencies across 50 square miles from eight strategically positioned stations. Established in 1901, the department staffs each station 24/7 with firefighters and paramedics.

FMFD also operates as the Region 6 Hazardous Materials Response Team for Southwest Florida.
